Meet The 10 New Startups Selected For Startupbootcamp IoT & Data

In the wake of highly successful editions in 2014 and 2015, Startupbootcamp reopened their doors in Barcelona last week for its 3rd year and select the 10 winning startups to enter their data and internet of things acceleration program. After spending almost half a year reviewing hundreds of applications from IoT and Data Tech industry firms, only the 17 best startups made the finals and stayed in the race for the unique opportunity to turn their dreams into reality. While making the cut amongst fierce competition is definitely an achievement to be proud of on its own, every entrepreneur was hungry for more. All teams had their eyes on one of the 10 limited places on the amazing 3-month program that includes a great set of benefits:

Besides receiving up to 6 months free workspace in the heart of Barcelona’s Tech Cluster, the winners will also be able to participate in excellent coaching workshops and mentorship programs with leading entrepreneurs, experts, investors and partners. Additionally, every selected startup will earn €15k cash seed funding and take advantage of a shared pool of over €450k in partner services such as marketing software, server space and business service support. Finally, the chosen ones will gain access to a wide network of VCs and Angels and receive the opportunity to present their firms at the 4YFN stage during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year, the largest mobile tech event worldwide. This will definitely create a fantastic chance to secure even more funds in order to grow and scale rapidly.

Galigu

The Tel-Aviv based company developed an immersive search engine in the VR environment that provides users with the most relevant and top-rated VR organic and sponsored content.

Octobank

This startup from Moscow designed a multi-banking app and a personal finance manager with great UX, which can be basically seen as something like a Google Now or Apple’s Siri for personal banking.

Alris Vision

The Romanian firm created an evolutionary Artificial Intelligence computing vision engine based on neural network that automatically provides the elements and concepts that are found in videos.

CyberusLabs

The Cracow-based SaaS startup’s flagship product is Cyberkey, a multi-platform identification system based on mobile technology that allows you to make fully secure operations without the need to remember all your passwords and usernames anymore.

Cyberswarm (previously CyberFog)

This Romanian firm protects organisations against cyberattacks thanks to its proactive technology which is based on a convergence of custom hardware, adaptive software and machine learning.

Trell

The company from Mumbai offers a simple way of bucketing interesting things to do at places around you so that you can easily find amazing hangout spots, street food stalls, sunset points, and so on.

NolimitVPN

The startup operating from France and Singapore developed a VPN service which creates a secure tunnel that encrypts your web browsing and internet communications to protect your data and make you completely anonymous.

Frizbit

This Istanbul-based SaaS company designed a marketing automation tool which provides smart and simple web push notification services for any website to reach and attract visitors online, even if they are not on your website.

Takeafile

The Spanish startup allows you to transfer files faster and in a confidential manner to anyone and without any intermediate servers or size limits by simple sending an URL code .

Workkola

This firm from Spain bridges the gap between higher education and labor market by connecting students all over the world with international startups on a high-impact/on-demand project basis via its online community of “sharing-talent”.
