Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and accomplished iOS engineer to join our team to help us create an outstanding user experience: an extremely easy and intuitive product can make interactions “just flow”.

• You are a talented iOS Developer and the ultimate power mobile user keeping yourself up-to-date with the latest trends and breakthroughs in mobile development technology.
• You recognize a good app when you see one and are passionate about creating the perfect user experience.
• You can roll up your sleeves and handle everything from interfaces to code deep in the iOS SDK.

Role description

• As technical lead you’ll take ownership for Canoe’s iOS application development.
• Tackle tough software problems at the core of the Canoe experience.
• Create new ideas with our Product and Design teams to continually iterate on the experience, exploring and prototyping improvements and new features
• Create rapid prototypes and lean experiments to help Canoe refine its focus and improve the product.
• You will work with product owners, designers and other engineers to design an outstanding and compelling user experience with great attention to the details that make all the difference.
• Stay ahead of the curve on the latest SDK, iOS features and technology roadmap
• Help set and enforce sound, forward-looking UX standards and best practices.
• Ensure our product is optimized for performance, scalability and modularity
• Maintain high standards of quality through automated testing, continuous integration and automation scripts

Requirements

• You have senior level technical chops, working in a professional coding environment for over five years
• You’ve been working directly with iOS for at least 3 years
• You’ve demonstrated success innovating with Engineering, Product and Design teams
• You enjoy navigating tough tradeoffs between functionality, complexity and time; dedicated and with a strong attention to detail
• You live to break down and solving complex problems by creating practical, maintainable, and scalable solutions
• You have published one or more applications in the App Store
• You have a passion for creating outstanding iOS apps and your work commands a top ranking in the app stores.
• Agile and iterative development and lean methods are in your blood.
• You are Action-oriented, diligent, flexible, and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial, creative and innovative spirit
• You possess strong time management and organizational skills to drive projects to completion
• You have strong visual and verbal communication skills.
• You speak Spanish and ideally English (you should feel sufficiently comfortable working in an environment where you’ll be hearing English frequently).
• And you have a passion for what we want to achieve with Canoe making a difference in how people communicate and work.
