THE ROLE – SENIOR DEVELOPER

An exciting and challenging opportunity is available at a leading UK-based cloud computing business. The company is opening new development offices in Barcelona and is seeking a passionate and creative Senior Developer to join the team there. The Barcelona development team will use open source technology to deliver cutting edge software and platform lifecycle management solutions in a highly competitive and fast paced industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work with customers and product managers on the strategic and operational development of new products and services. Contribute to the development of architecture and life-cycle plans. Be responsible for all the aspects of the development and delivery of projects. Manage the expectations of Shareholders and Stakeholders. Mentor junior team members. Develop skill base of the team. Share expertise across the team.

EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will have at least 3-5 years software development experience. You will also have at least 1 years experience as a senior developer. You will have experience of backend API design, systems integration, and workflow automation. You will be knowledgeable in the use of Test and/or Behaviour Driven Development and Continuous Integration. You will be an expert in one or more of Ruby/Python/Go, and be passionate about using open-source software to solve real-world problems. Your written and spoken English will be fluent, and you will have a degree in Computer Science or similar. Experience of PaaS and/or SaaS environments would be beneficial.
