Position: PHP Frontend/Backend Developer

 

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a front-end developer with good knowledge of PHP back-end development using the Symfony 1 framework. We are continuously evolving our product and rolling out new awesome features and optimizations on a weekly basis and will be expanding to new cities in 2015. You will work closely with the design team and Project Manager.

Clubkviar is a reservations-with-benefits platform for top restaurants in Madrid, Barcelona & Paris. Our members browse Kviar’s list of high-end restaurants, make a free reservation and then receive 30% off the final bill, a discreet and seamless experience. Clubkviar differentiates through its positioning as an invitation only private club for high-end members and merchants and also through its viral growth engine powered by user referrals.

Since our launch in January 2012, we have grown to an extended team of 22 people spread over our offices in Barcelona, Madrid & Paris. This position will be for our Barcelona office which is located in the Born.

Skills and Knowledge:

• 3+ years in web development using HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• 3+ years in PHP web development.
• Responsive website development experience is a must.
• Good knowledge of Symfony and MySQL.
• Experience using Foundation with Compass.
• Used to work with SVN or GIT.
• Experience with A/B testing.
• You need to have good analytical and problem solving skills, good verbal and written communication skills.

Education and Experience:

• BS or higher degree required.
• Preferred degree in computer science or related field.
• 3+ years experience in software development.
• 2+ years experience developing web user interfaces.
• Team player attitude; solid positive energy. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently and with a group.
• Responsible, reliable, proactive.
• Language skills: fluent English oral and written as you will work with a multi-cultural team with English as main language.
