Lodgify, the Vacation Rental Startup that offers a software solution that drives direct bookings for vacation rental, just recently closed a round of 1.4 million.
The round was led by local VC Nauta Capital, but investors from prior rounds, including Chris Hitchen, HOWZAT Partners and Roland Zeller, also participated.
The last time we wrote about Lodgify was back in May 2015, when they closed a round of €600.000.
Cutting out the man in the middle
When customers order a stay with vacation rental owners through Booking or Airbnb, they often go back and forth several times to finalize the deal. This is where Lodgify comes in, and tries to cut out the middle man, giving the vacation rental owners the power to do everything from booking to payment through their own page:
“We’re helping vacation rental owners generate more direct bookings via their
personal website in light of high commissions charged by online travel agencies,”
says Dennis Klett, co-founder of Lodgify.
After this recent funding the next focus will be to automize the process through implementation of chatbots, making the work for the seller even easier.
A powerful solution
The recent investment brings the total investment of Lodgify up to €2 million.
Jordi Viñas, General Partner at Nauta Capital which led the last round said this after the last round of funding:
“They have managed to build a powerful solution in a fast growing industry that has
traditionally focused solely on the traveler”
The round of funding comes after what Barcelona startup Lodgify describes as a great year, with rapid growth, a growing customer base and a highly growing volume of booking transactions.
