Kompyte, a SaaS startup from Barcelona that enables marketers to gather competitor intelligence in real-time through an automated monitoring software, announced today that it will release the latest product version, Kompyte 3. The firm will official unveil the latest version at the 2017 Mobile World Congress taking place in Barcelona next week by tracking every participating business at the event – that’s over 2.200 companies from 200+ countries.
The SaaS startup was founded in Barcelona just three years ago, but is already making big waves in Europe and the USA. After having studied together at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Spain and working together on their first venture Cocosoft, the startup founders CEO Pere Codina, COO Alberto Colmenero and CTO Sergio Ramírez launched Kompyte in 2014. The tech firm enjoyed rapid growth in Europe from the very beginning and, subsequently, it quickly turned its attention to the fast-growing marketing automation market in the USA.
In 2015, the firm secured multiple partnership deals in North America and received fresh funding from New York’s Venture Capital firm Rose Tech Ventures. At the same time, it also acquired a strong customer portfolio of Fortune 500 companies and multinationals firms from all over the world which further confirmed that Kompyte found the right product market fit for their SaaS startup.
Last fall, the tech company joined the highly regarded 500 Startups accelerator program in Silicon Valley which boasts $250M in committed capital and consistently builds fast-growing tech companies such as Twilio, SendGrid and Intercom. There, the SaaS company from Barcelona has spent the last four months tailoring its product, technology and business development strategy with the support of leading industry experts. Last week, Kompyte graduated from the program with a successful presentation at Demo Day, and attracted new investment from Venture Capital firms Adara Ventures and Gaesco Venturcap. With the backing of the two new VCs secured and after confirming that Kompyte will continue to have a physical presence in Silicon Valley, the SaaS startup is all set to accelerate its expansion in the US market and beyond.
The recent success and experience points to a bright future for Kompyte and, of course, we hope it can continue its impressive growth to become the first Catalan Unicorn over the next couple of years. As the CEO Pere Codina states: “The 500 Startups accelerator program transformed us: We learned how to boost our growth in the same fashion as Silicon Valley’s best companies. Now, with our new investors onboard, we’re extremely confident about our trajectory in the upcoming months.”
Now, at the back of this news and ready to scale, Kompyte is returning home to its founding roots in Barcelona as they aim to make a splash across the pond as well. Next week, the intelligence tracking company will exhibit at the Mobile World Congress and it will unveil Kompyte 3, a new version of its popular competitor tracking software that is already being used by leading companies all around the worlds. And they will do the product launch in style, by actually spying on every Mobile World Congress company in real-time! So if you are intrigued to see Kompyte’s intelligence software do their magic or if you simply are curious to find out more, feel free to visit the startup in their booth in Congress Square Stand CS50.
