Knok, the travel community, has once again set itself apart from the home exchange pack by being the first platform ever to release the ultimate travel hack: Knok Days. Knok Days is an alternative to direct home swapping, allowing Knok to offer its members unlimited flat-rate accommodation worldwide. It’s like booking a hotel, but without the cost!
The invention of this credit system brings newfound flexibility to the home exchange marketplace that has been missing since its inception. This system is the result of Knok’s learnings over two years, and is part of Knok’s ambitious goal to bring home swap vacations to the mainstream travel scene, so becoming the “Netflix for places to stay”.
So how do Knok Days work?
Knok Days is a credit system: you earn Knok Days when you lend your home to another member, and spend Days when you book other homes. You decide when your place is available with Knok Days by adding dates to your calendar. Then, you approve which members stay at your home after securely exchanging messages on Knok.com. As always, members have complete control over their exchange experience.
Traveling with Knok Days is the new alternative to the traditional home exchange, where you must match dates and destinations with your swap partner. By using Knok Days, the need to coordinate these details no longer exists. As a Knok member, you will lend your home to a fellow member while you’re away (for example, at another member’s home, a friend’s or family’s place, your second home, or wherever you have planned at the moment!).
Knok members now have two great ways to travel the world, live like a local, and stay for free!
Members are still encouraged to travel through direct swaps; the new credit system simply gives users more swapping flexibility, so they can exchange when and where they want.
To make the transition easier for all, Knok is offering five complementary Knok Days to new and existing members, this way everyone can start taking advantage of the newest and most exciting way to travel right away. If you haven’t been adventurous enough to try home swapping yet, we suggest you give it a try!
