Blockchain identity: digital passports to the self-sovereign world
We are happy to announce our next meetup, with two exciting presentations about blockchain tech applied to the social and digital identity and the nation-state model.
Blockchain technology allowed for the first time in history to have a global consensus over the state of data, Bitcoin being its first application, a decentralized medium of financial exchange. The implications of this technology go far beyond money. Some projects are aiming to decentralize identity, giving the control over data back to the people.
With this piece of the puzzle in place, all sorts of decentralized applications can emerge, including substitutes of social media, governance systems or even the nation-state itself.

Join A Hundred Years CEO/Founder Marc Mertens in conversation with fellow business leaders to discuss what it means to be a purpose-driven business in today’s economy. We’ll dig into questions like why is driving toward purpose not only morally and ethically responsible, but the smartest business decision you’ll make? Lunch Session: Reinventing Organizations
A massive shift in how we organize work is underway. More and more companies empower their employees by promoting and rewarding entrepreneurship and risk-taking. Old paradigms of “predict and plan” are eroding and make space for more agility to deal with the unexpected – not just in product development, but also in strategy, business model and operating model. As a result, organizations turn from “machines” to self-managing organic systems.
IXDS has run extensive research on new work principles and prototypes to create a culture of entrepreneurship and risk taking. During this session, we’ll discuss principles and corner stones of self-managing organizations – and how they can help us create beautiful businesses.
When: Wednesday, March 1st, From 13:30 to 14:45

Thrive with your Tribe
Throughout our history, in the face of great change, forming tribes has been the best evolutionary strategy. As a response to the major challenges of our current era, collaborating and adopting interdisciplinary approaches are becoming the surest paths to creativity and innovation. How do we move beyond disengagement and automation and co-create better prototypes for the future of work? We can unlearn the existing patterns within ourselves that unnecessarily divide and stifle us. Let’s see if we can actually cultivate serendipity as a way of working and living by being beautifully human.
Life Works Labs invites you for an evening of pleasant, interesting, and inclusive conversation with a multidisciplinary tribe of experts committed to connecting humanity throughout their life’s work.

In this interactive experience, you’ll enter the theater of the imagination to see what happens when we take the long view. No Post Its or brainstorms. Just plain time travel. Mobilee Back To Back Tour 2017 | Kevin Over, Ray Okpara & And.Id live!
Anja Schneider’s protégé further cements his status as mobilee’s most exciting fresh talent with a blistering collection of unheard material, deftly showcasing the work of a young artist rapidly reaching critical mass.
But even so, for Kevin Over to find himself behind the wheel of one of mobilee’s annual long-form releases, despite him barely being over a quarter of a century old, is quite something. But then again, Anja Schneider isn’t your usual A&R, and Kevin Over isn’t your usual ‘talent’ – as if his recent stellar run of EPs on Truesoul, Nofitstate, Avotre and of course mobilee in the last year alone, didn’t tell you already.
