One of the fastest growing and widely acclaimed European Accelerators is coming to Barcelona on May 8th to meet local startups and test the waters for a possible permanent installation in Spain. Startupbootcamp is a mentorship-driven, 3-month acceleration program for global oriented startups. They have programs running in Berlin, Amsterdam, Dublin, Copenhagen, Haifa, London, and rumors are abound that they are opening more locations in 2013.
Each Startupbootcamp hosts 10 startups per city, covers 90 days of living & working expenses, fosters direct interaction with world-class mentors, and proclaims an enviable track record as more than 70% of graduates receive funding. This year, they went on a world tour.
Beginning on February 27th and running through June 1st, Startupbootcamp Pitch Days are taking place in 20 cities across the globe. On Wednesday, May 8th, they’re coming to Barcelona.
While the ultimate goal of Startupbootcamp Pitch Days is to recruit the most promising projects into their accelerators, they promise to add value to all startups selected to pitch. The format is simple: a 5-minute pitch, followed by 25 minutes of personalized feedback by a selection of experienced Spanish investors and businessmen, including Angel Garcia of Lanta Digital Ventures and Mario Herraiz of Amazon Web Services. All participating startups will receive $250 of Amazon Web Services credits and have the opportunity to learn more about the Startupbootcamp program from active mentors.
