Tech Tribe Barcelona is a brand new initiative with a vision to share knowledge through interactive events and expert guidance. These events include curated panels, roundtable discussions and workshops that bring together multi-disciplinary talent and thought leaders who inspire, educate and bring people together. At these events, we’ll be discussing how technology is disrupting the most relevant industries in today’s ever changing landscape.
Our first event this December 14th will focus on EdTech. In recent years, we’ve seen the huge impact of technological innovation on the education industry. With funding flowing into the sector and high profile support behind it, education technology is set to be worth $252bn by 2020. A wave of education apps, learning management systems and VR educational programmes mean that technology is transforming the way we learn and the way educational organizations operate. Given this rapid growth in EdTech, we’ll be discussing just how technological innovations are set to change the world of education with three inspiring thought leaders in the field.
We’ll bring you a panel discussion hosted by Katrina Logie, founder of People On The Grid. The discussion will feature thought leaders and industry movers Neus Lorenzo, Inspectorate at the Generalitat de Catalunya; Sven Huber, Founder & CEO of Boolino; and Maria Gomez, Market Tech Principal at Thoughtworks. These expert speakers will be sharing their thoughts on the industry and it’s future, with opportunities for questions too.
In addition to the panel discussion, there’ll be an ‘Arte Abstracto’ workshop by Rox Mena as well as incredible live music in the form of a harp concert by Musgö. This will be a chance to share, debate and network with Barcelona-based innovators and professionals – perfect if you’ve just arrived on the scene in Barcelona’s thriving tech community and are looking to connect with like-minded individuals.
Food and drink are included in the ticket price, and if that wasn’t enough, the event will be hosted at our incredible office on the water: Onecowork in Port Vell. What’s more, when you buy a ticket you’re automatically entered into our raffle to win a ‘TRAGL The Global Translator’, a new innovative device for two-way translation.
This will be an unmissable opportunity to hear leading voices share their insights on the rapid rate of technological innovation in the education industry. And Barcinno’s community can steal themselves 20% off the cost of their ticket with the code barcinnotribe. Even more reason to #JoinTheTribe on December 14th. We’ll see you there!
