#TECHICONS Event Brings Together Startups and Investors From Over 20 Countries

The last week of February will see innovators, investors, technology leaders, cutting-edge startups and thought leaders from over 208 countries flock to Barcelona, the Mobile World Capital, for the annual Mobile World Congress. With over 100,000 attendees, the event is the world’s largest gathering for the mobile industry. For one week each year, the entire mobile industry descends on our city to catch a glimpse of the future, forge strategic new partnerships and capitalize on the unparalleled volume of key decision makers all in one place. This exciting time provides unmissable opportunities for networking, learning, exchanging ideas with leaders in the field, as well as showcasing your startup to the global mobile community.

But the MWC isn’t the only place to be during the week of the 26th February – 1st March. The week also features a never-ending list of parties, networking events and showcases. To counter the large-scale craziness of MWC, we bring you a special intimate event which aims to bridge the gap between Europe’s key investors and innovators: TECHICONS. The second edition of TECHICONS takes place on the 27th February in the stunning OneCoWork space in Barcelona’s Port Vell. It will connect high growth innovative startups with investors and key stakeholders in the global tech ecosystem in a relaxed and intimate setting.

TECHICONS by day kicks off at 8.30am with a welcome and coffee at our waterfront venue. This is followed by a roadshow that gives startups the unique opportunity to pitch their concept to an audience of international investors, accelerators and high-level corporate players. Next, a networking brunch – so connections can be consolidated over a healthy breakfast and guests will be all set for a day at 4YFN and WMC with a full stomach, and a full contact list to match! But that’s not all – we return for TECHICONS by night at 8pm for an invite-only VIP cocktail gala, accompanied by high-tech exhibitions, live music, an exclusive experiential algorithmic art showcase and a DJ set to close out the night. It’s set to be a very special evening for all, bringing together Europe’s visionary investors and innovators to mingle and network. 

The mission of the event is to promote and celebrate Barcelona as a thriving center for startups and global investment – whilst also accelerating economic growth through innovative and visionary startups. Barcinno will play host, along with OneCoWork and Harbour.Space University in the award-winning OneCoWork building, a unique coworking space in Barcelona located inside Marina Port Vell and designed to maximize collaboration and foster a sense of community among young companies based there. If that wasn’t enough, for the event, Barcinno, Onecowork and Harbour.Space will partnering with global automobile manufacturer SEAT, a world leader in innovation, automobile connectivity and sustainability. The event also partners with One Ragtime, a disruptive venture platform designed to support startups in their journey to success.
