TEDxChange 2013 Comes To Barcelona Armed With Positive Disruption

For those of you living in a cave the last 30 years or so, the TED event series is a global set of conferences formed to disseminate “ideas worth spreading.”  TED has rapidly expanded in both scope and geography over the

last decade and now includes 6 events in Barcelona alone that are meant to disrupt the status quo and provoke innovation.  Tonight’s event, TEDxChange, is the brainchild between the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the TEDx program.

The next installment of the TEDxBarcelona Change conference aims to present innovative ideas in the areas of global healthcare and social development.  Tonight’s speakers will focus on the positive powers of disprution especially as it pertains to the viral capabilities in today’s uber-social world to attack global challenges.  In addition to seeing the local experts live, TEDxBarcelona will feature a live stream of the TEXxChange event taking place simultaneously in Seattle, USA.  

All of the TEDx Barcelona events are led by Aurelie Salvaire, Pelin Gonul Sahin and their team of local changemakers.  The event will be hosted by the COEC on Travessera de Grácia, 93 in Barcelona’s City Centre.  The ticket price of tonight’s event is €25 and the revenue goes directly to cover the costs that go into producing the TEDxBarcelona event series.  Students can contact tedxbcnchange@gmail.com for a discount code.
