MWC20 has officially been cancelled! You can find their official statement here. As a result, some events & parties listed below might get cancelled too. To help you have more clarity, we’re adding information to each event to indicate whether it will stake place or not based on the offical communication of event organisers. Just go through our list and check the information we’ve added to each main event title in brackets.
For the 7th year in a row, Barcinno is your complete go-to guide to all the Mobile World Congress parties and events for 2020! Mobile Sunday is back! The annual premier networking event in Barcelona taking place the evening before the Mobile World Congress and 4YFN kicks off.
Now in it’s 5th year, Tech.eu are proud to bring you a special edition for 2020. An excellent evening program with talks from global industry experts and startup founders, followed by a unique networking experience in this beautiful venue with partners 4YFN and xside. Startup Grind is the biggest community of entrepreneurs worldwide, in partnership with Google for Startups. Their mission is to help every entrepreneur in the world and they do this by hosting a monthly recurring event and inspiring, educating and connecting entrepreneurs.
The event will go as follows:
- An open mic session where any attendee is free to speak up his mind or ask for a piece of advice from the community and receive feedback.
- A fireside chat with Chiara Massironi (Manager, Twilio Startups, US East & EMEA at Twilio Inc.) hosted by our Chapter Director Ă€lex RodrĂguez Bacardit.

IDEATHON Mobile Social Congress 2020 (No official information yet)
Mobile Social Congress 2020 is an event that is aimed at tackling the social and environmental impacts of the technology industry. This edition will consist of an ideathon focused on how we could give a second life to obsolete mobile components to prevent them from becoming waste. The call is open for young talent to apply until January 26 and in February teams will be formed and working on solving the challenge. On February 26 in Barcelona, ​​the 4h IDEATHON will be held in a competition format (and yes, there is a prize for the winning team).

Ford in Barcelona to Meet with Startups (No official information yet)
Come meet Ford during MWC week on February 26th at the MakeItDriveable Barcelona city tour stop. This is an opportunity to hear directly from the Ford team and to pitch your ideas. If you want to know what MakeItDriveable is about, you might want to check out their 2019 highlights video from Lisbon. This is a great opportunity to work directly with Ford, and to have direct access to Ford executives and business teams as well as invited guests.
This year they are looking for experiences like in-car productivity, driver health and services that can take advantage of their delivery to vehicle API’s. Overall, if you have an idea that can enhance the Connected Car or a smartphone based app, then come meet them. Don Butler – Executive director, Connected Vehicle and Services at Ford Motor Company – will be attending and meeting with startups.

The MWC and 4YFN have been cancelled and as sad and disappointing as it can be for the entrepreneurs and startup communit, it won’t stop us! Itnig is hosting a MWC Alternative Week :
Itnig is a startup ecosystem, bringing entrepreneurs and talent from all over the world together. We’ve recently launched an early-stage fund to help global companies boost their growth. We have invested in companies like Syra Cofee, Vasquiat and Hireflix.
On Thursday February 27th you have the chance to pitch in front of investors. We’re hosting a SPECIAL EDITION for our weekly PITCH TO INVESTORS.
