Spanish startup ecosystems need more talent

“Investments in Barcelona the last year had an explosive growth, with 60% of all euros invested in Spain in 2015 landing in Barcelona”, Valls explained.
Talking about Spain in general he praises the growth of the ecosystems in Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona, but underlined the need for more nation wide success stories. Its also still quite hard to find talent for startups in Barcelona and the other cities.
Apart from that, 2015 became a record setting year, when Spanish startups in total raised €535 million, thats 87% growth from 2014, when a total of €286 million was raised by startups in Spain.
