Job description:
We are looking for an ambitious and entrepreneurial Space Scout to join our business development team in your city, part-time and on a freelance basis. In your role as Space Scout you will support our team to create a great selection of space-listings. In this function you are responsible for the entire registration cycle: generating and selecting leads, communicating directly with venues, understanding their needs and creating free listings for them. Your success ensures that our offerings cover the different neighborhoods and exciting spaces in your city.
We make it possible to work independently, in an entrepreneurial setting, with great support and help from our local city managers. We provide tips and training to help you be successful and offer excellent performance-based compensation. Since it’s free for venues to join our platform no limits are placed on the amount of income that can be generated. This job is perfect for anyone with a self-starter mentality and communication skills to move forward.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for entire registration cycle for signing up spaces
- Generate and select interesting leads
- Identify iconic local spaces, communicate directly with spaces and create free listings for them on Spacebase.com
- Use your existing network to explain local event spaces the value Spacebase creates for them
- Coordinate with local city management to understand how to grow your market and understand priorities of execution
- Be the face and first contact to space owners and help them in creating outstanding listings with the help of our content team
What We Look For:
- Experience in marketing/sales environment. Working within event space is a plus
- Strong self-starter and sales mentality
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Good connections in your local city and ability to find new potential leads
- Able to build relationships with local space owners or managers
- Passion for the sharing economy
