Want A Sneak Peak At The New BCN Tech Hub Pier 01?

As we disclosed a couple of weeks ago, the new tech hub in Barcelona located in Palau De Mar, is planned to open in July.

Holaluz have the rooftop office with a huge terrace overlooking the ocean and the port.

The contractors are working day and night to paint, tear down walls, and wire the place up. All so 80 tech companies can house the 10.000m2 building at the beautiful waterfront in Barcelona.

We asked the CEO Miquel Marti if we could give you a sneak peak of the building, at least the part that’s finished by now, and off course he said yes:

One of Europe’s largest

For those of you who don’t know this by know, the building will have around 1.100 people working in both startups, accelerators, venture builders and other organizations.

Pier 01 will be one of Europe’s largest tech hubs.

We don’t know all the companies that will move into the building, but according to Marti, there is only some very few available places left.

Companies like Tiendeo, Letgo, Berepublic, Byhours, Geenapp, Ikomobi, Letmespace, Holaluz, Eyetok, Bemobile, SDOS and a few incubators like mVentures, Antai Venture Builders, Nuclio and Conector will have their new HQ at Pier 01.

Co-working

It’s important for Barcelona Tech City, an umbrella organization representing over 300 startups in Barcelona, that the building is open for other than only the people with offices.

Nothing like 30 minute power nap in the office hammock. This is booking app Byhours new offices at Pier 01.

CEO Marti explains that the basement will be converted to a modern co-working space, where people with a good idea or a great project can come and work and feed of the dynamic startup environment.
