BARCELONA, SPAIN. November 05, 2018:
There’s a lot of hype in the start-up world, but where do ideation and action meet? What if instead of listening and taking notes you could take actionable steps towards your startup vision? Startup Weekend Barcelona, brought to Barcelona by IESE Business School, Cahoot Co-working space, and Techstars, aims to do just that. Startup Weekend Barcelona will bring together the Barcelona Startup ecosystem. From developers, designers, businessmen and women, and industry experts, to pitch ideas, find talent and embark on the journey from idea to startup.
At 6:30 PM on November 16th, Startup Weekend will gather 80 attendees at Cahoot Coworking in Barcelona. Over the next 54 hours, they will choose an inspiring idea, design and validate a minimum viable product, and pitch it to a panel of successful venture capitalists, tech gurus, and founders.
The best part? They will bring entrepreneurial leaders, developers, and coaches with industry experience to mentor and support all attendees. Whether it’s the partner from the venture firm that invested in Glovo (which has received over 32 million in funding and scaled to 60 cities) or a corporate dropout with 15 years of digital marketing expertise, each team will receive one-on-one feedback in key moments to guide them towards their MVP. By the last day, attendees will not only have their MVP, but they will have the opportunity step into the community to get real-world feedback, and to pitch their idea to a panel of experienced judges.
How much does all of this cost? Early bird tickets for the whole weekend are still available for just €45. However, for Barcinno readers, there is a discount of 20% available when you use code BARCINNO. That cost covers meals, benefits from our partners, and all the coffee and internet you can consume. Moreover, this will allow participants to join a community of over 200,000 alumni in over 150 countries.
In Peter Theil’s book Zero to One, he said, “the single most powerful pattern I have noticed in successful people is they find value in unexpected places.” Startup Weekend Barcelona presents this kind of opportunity to the ecoystem — A chance for folks to meet people they never expected to meet and do things they never expected to do. It will be challenging. It will be fun. Most importantly, it will make connections that will transcend the weekend and challenge what people may think is possible in just a few days.
Tickets available here! Just use code BARCINNO.
