Keiretsu Forum, the international network of business angels, has been operating in Spain since 2007 and their members have invested more than €7 million into 24 startups. Keiretsu private investors et al. gathered at Gild International for an evening of networking and startup presentations.
Those presenting included:
InAtlas – a geolocated R&D mapping application that is completely online. This business intelligence tool is designed to be accessible to everyone from the Fortune 100 to the local pizza place planning its 2nd store opening. The presentation was headed by two of the founding partners Silvia Banchini and Luis Falcon Martínez de Marañón to secure €200k in private financing.
4DLIFE – Javier Cordoba and Domingo de la Muela want to change the way you do search. By harnessing the power of your personal online identity, 4DLIFE narrows down and organizes the most relevant information you are seeking. To dethrone the megalith Google in the search space, they are raising €400k in their current financing round.
Hall St. – Truly disrupting the centuries old hotel industry model of fixed-rate room priced per night, Alfredo Ouro is introducing a free market approach. What happens when the market determines the price of your hotel room by buying, selling, and donating hotel rooms through a stock market application? We’re about to find out as Hall St. is already actively working with more than 5.000 hotels worldwide. Get on board as they are currently seeking €750k to accelerate growth.
Selctionable – What can innovation create for the multi-billion dollar, rapidly growing recruiting industry mean? Opportunity; and Bart Huisken is ready with an online toolset of products designed to evaluate and select the best candidate for the job. Already a proven entrepreneur with his meteoric rise of Southwing last decade, investors know Bart has what it takes to create a successful startup. Selectionable is seeking €200k to grow their client base and add more tests.
The evening wrapped up with investors, entrepreneurs, and enthusiasts alike mingling over beer and wine in Gild’s downstairs lounge. Hopefully these intimate events continue at Gild so the international community can preview and support upcoming disrupters in Barcelona’s active innovation and startup scene.
