Jeroen Merchiers, Country Manager of Airbnb. He was born and raised in Belgium but has been living in Spain for 10 years. He graduated as an Industrial Engineer and has an MBA from IESE. Jeroen started his career in management and technology consulting by managing several international projects for renowned manufacturing companies such as Nortel, Microsoft and Rolls-Royce. He has broad experience in the technology sector; first as COO of Groupalia and currently in Airbnb, where he is country manager for Spain and Portugal. Moreover, Jeroen is advisor to Trip4Real and counsellor in Boatius.

Jeroen will share with us a bit about himself and his professional journey to where he is now as Country Manager for Spain and Portugal of Airbnb. He will talk about the fascinating and remarkable facts about Airbnb and specifically an Economic Impact Study of Airbnb in Barcelona & Catalonia.
