We work with independent shops. We believe they are part of what makes communities colorful and unique. We also know that many are at risk – they operate on low margins, and suffer economic and technology changes out of their control. Many of these shops reach out to us.

Our mission is to become the standard in hosting and maintaining a shop’s online identity, in a world where maps and mobile phones are the dominant means of accessing products and services.

We’ve built a low-cost accessible service which is now used by hundreds of shops in central Barcelona, and at the core of our platform is a mobile augmented reality game where players can earn real money while helping shops in their community.

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at DenDen, here’s what you’ll get to do:

• Be an essential piece of a young startup, bringing ideas and taking part in the first stages of product and customer development
• Develop a mobile game using React Native, Firebase and Ruby on Rails for Android/iOS.
• Create tools and services for sales and marketing colleagues to streamline their work
• Work in an agile environment, following the Scrum methodology when it makes sense

 

We’re looking for someone experienced in:

• Javascript (we use ES6), HTML and CSS
• React / React Native
• Ruby on Rails
• Firebase / Other no-SQL online database services
• PostgreSQL
• Heroku/Amazon Web Services
• Git
• Test Driven Development

 

Experience in the following is a plus:

• Fast moving/startup environments
• Mobile app development in Android/iOS
• Mapping/geolocation
• Game design/development
• Payment gateways
• Google My Business management
