I detest with every piece of my living soul having to call any Telco in Spain. Anyone who wants to preserve any of their sanity shouldn’t have to be put through the rigmarole of calling these giants to experience what some might describe as the worst example of customer service ever. ‘What, you don’t have it noted down on the system that I called 500 times before asking to change my contract?” I’m sure many of you have been there before and yes; I do feel strongly about shitty customer service.
When it comes to changing carriers, it seems like it’s more hassle than it’s worth. Not just the phone calls that will leave you wanting to unleash rage at anyone in proximity, but trying to compare the different contracts available is like going back to high school algebra for the first time. I don’t want to have to analyze my statements to see when or how many minutes of calls I’m making each month or how many SMS’s I send. Nor do I want try and interpret the gibberish in the T&Cs to determine how long I’m trapped in the contract for and what handset will be thrown in. And I most definitely don’t want to be commercially harassed by anyone.
Unhappy customers means churn, which is Telco’s worst nightmare. As retaining customers doesn’t seem to be their forte, Weplan has come to show them how it’s done.
With a few clicks, Weplan helps you see how much you spend, what terminal you have and want, your contact duration, when you spend your minutes and then the magic happens. Weplan provides you with a personal and independent recommendation engine matching you with the best Telco and offer based on your usage. And to put the cherry on top, within 1 click you can change from your current operator to the new contract. They also offer a controlled expense tool for your current mobile plan, meaning you will never go over you minutes by mistake hence knowing how much you are going to pay at the end of each month.
Weplan which was founded by experienced professional Pablo Reaño CEO and has already signed contacts with 13 operators such as Vodafone, Orange, Jazztel, Ono, Tuenti and Yoigo giving you a varied selection of choice and some of the best deals on the market. These Telco’s are benefiting of course from increased customer engagement and less churn.
The Android version, which was launched 12 months ago has already had over 100k downloads with some very positive reviews and engagement metrics; currently they have over 40k active users per week. To boost these numbers, Weplan is in fundraising mode with international growth hot on the agenda having just launched in the UK, Germany and France.
Winner of the European e-commerce conference 2013, winners of the Best Business Model Award at Salon MiEmpresa, the IE venture day audience award and selected for the Spanish technological mission to SF, watch out for Weplan on the international arena. They are definitely taking the stress out of dealing with customer interactions with Telcos.
