TECHICONS is the annual event during the Mobile World Congress focused on bridging the gap between Europe’s key investors and innovators.

Established in 2017, TECHICONS is a coalition of entrepreneurs and investors from different fields that share a common purpose – accelerating economic growth through innovative and visionary startups.

Their mission is to promote Barcelona as a city for startups and global investment, and this event is our tool in doing so, through highlighting the most innovative startups and putting them under the VC spotlight. Barcinno, OneCoWork and Harbour.Space University are playing host in the stunning, prize-winning building of OneCoWork, specifically designed to maximize collaboration and foster a sense of community among the many young companies that call this place home.

REM Documentary – Barcelona Premiere

After a number of sold-out projections all over Europe, the Barcelona’s premiere of the film “REM” will take place at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia on February 27th.

Filmed and directed by Tomas Koolhaas, the LA-based son of the architect, the documentary aims to take a peek inside the creative mind of Rem Koolhaas, following him in his daily life and thoughts. The film also shows a different side to the architect’s most famous buildings and its inhabitants.

Women in Mobile – MWC event

Women In Mobile is returning to Barcelona as one of the leading events focused on female talents. The theme of this edition is ‘personalization based on AI’. AI-based products can ingest rich data, learning about user preferences in on-going manner, delivering personalized content that users want and need. The learning component, in which computers can discern patterns within a data set in order to predict what consumers will want next, is what will take product automation to the next level. Swedish Beers – #12 Barcelona Edition, 2017

Plans are afoot for the next edition of Swedish Beers in Barcelona in 2018. I’m opening registration early to get the date in your diary.
