Some of the most recognized names in the finance game are in Valencia this week attending the 3-day Forinvest at the Feria Valencia. Forinvest is the annual financial convention showcasing the latest and greatest in financial products and services, investment vehicles, and insurance technology.
This year’s Forinvest 2.0 is centered on entrepreneurship with Wednesday’s sessions focusing on seed capital and Thursday’s speakers talking about Venture Capital. Some of the brightest financial leaders in Spain are gathered to push the industry forward and share their ideas for the future.
Familiar faces, Luis Martin Cabiedes from Cabiedes & Partners and Carlos Trenchs of Caixa Capital Risc will be sharing their views of how to avoid the pitfalls of innovation investing for those interested in getting in the game. Later, Gary Stewart from Wayra, Enrique Dubois of Mola, Juan Carlos Ariso of Grupo Intercom, Enrique Penichet of bbooster, and Jaime Esteban of Lanzadera will walk through their respective incubators and provide an update on what they’re seeing from their seed stage startups.
On Thursday, Ken Morse from ESADE will rap about the current state of corporate VCs and Javier Ulecia of Bullnet Capital will show us his battle wounds of the last decade investing in Spain. Also on the agenda is a BBVA’s innovation director, Gustavo Vinacua explaining the importance of innovative thinking and an elevator pitch session and business model critique of Valencia’s startups.
Lastly, on Friday get to know the ESADE BAN with Fernando Zallo and Javier Navarro hosting a session on entrepreneurship and angel investing.
