Startupbootcamp Pitch Days is coming back to Barcelona to select some high quality startups for its leading accelerator program during the 4YFN event at the Mobile World Congress.
The last time SBC Pitch Days came through town, Barcelona startups claimed three of the ten spots in the Eindhoven-based HighTechXL accelerator. On February 25th at the 4YFN event within Mobile World Congress 2014, Startupbootcamp will be holding a pitch day with the goal of snagging some top-notch startups within the mobile, smart data and IoT sectors for international programs starting this year.
Startupbootcamp is Europe’s leading accelerator program for high-growth startups. Since 2009, the mentor-driven organization has accelerated over 110 ventures, of which more than 70% receive funding within 6 months of joining the program. Startupbootcamp now has programs in seven global cities, with plans for rapid expansion in 2014 including new programs located in the US, Europe and moving towards Asia.
The secret to the Startupbootcamp sauce is the participation of a global network of professional mentors. The startups team up with specific mentors based on their industry and stage and, through this network, startups have access to nearly every investor, customer or partner they need to grow their venture. The founders work extremely closely with their mentors in order to develop their product, validate their business model, get their first pilot customers and aim to get funding at the end of the program.
To further support the growth that takes place in just 90 days, Startupbootcamp gives their startups €15,000 for pizza money and living expenses for the team, six months free co-working space, over €450,000 in sponsored services and the opportunity to pitch to more than 400 investors at Demo Day.
The teams chosen for the event get the opportunity to pitch for 5 minutes in front of a panel of experienced mentors and receive 25 minutes of immediate and constructive feedback while learning about he upcoming programs. The Pitch Day takes place in cooperation with the 4 Years From Now event that runs from the 24 to 27 of February. The events have a relaxed atmosphere enabling startups to pitch their hearts out in a comfortable environment and to receive valuable feedback and the chance to connect with international mentors and other teams.
As the event is informal, startups have the opportunity to practice their pitch in a safe environment, receive personalized feedback and have the chance to connect with the mentors and other participating teams.
The event is open for everyone to apply – just answer some simple questions about your startup on the SBC Pitch Day F6S page.
